Rafał Samusik

Rafał Samusik was born in the doctor’s family, but he decided to bind his future with art. After graduating architectural studies he put aside his drawing board and started to study at University of Silesia Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Department in Katowice. During studies he realized awarded and shown around the world (including the Berlinale) documentary “War Games”. After graduation he moved to Warsaw, and there, after a short flirt with an advertising agency, he had definitely become convinced that his goal is to make films. In 2010 with project Dekalog 89+ he realized full-length film “Real”, which was shown in Cannes. Currently he is working on a thirty-minute film "Grandsonny" and debut full-length "Idlers". Lives in Warsaw, Białystok and Supraśl.
